Well, these RB-95K speakers have just a little bigger woofers, but vastly bigger boxes.

PC-55 speakers are listed at 15.1cm x 23.0cm x 22.1cm = 7675cm3
RB-95K speakers show at 38.1cm x 21.9cm x 21.5cm = 17939cm3

230% bigger boxes with 30% bigger woofer in the RB-95K. This PC-5 XL maybe onto something serious, beside being "the biggest".

Furthermore..FYI:

PC-5 speakers are listed at 12.4cm x 21.8cm x 20.6cm = 5568cm3
PC-7 speakers are listed at 15.5cm x 27.1cm x 20.4cm = 8569cm3

PC-5 speakers 10cm woofer
PC-7 speakers 12cm woofer
PC-55 speakers 12cm woofer
RB-95 speakers 16cm woofer

So...
PC-7 is 12% larger speakers box with same woofer size.
PC-55 is 38% larger speaker box than PC-5 with 20% larger woofer.

Michiel, can I ask you to do something and then give us your honest opinion? Can you hook up these RB-95K speakers to the RC-M90 in the background and give us feedback how the RC-M90 sounds with built-in speakers vs. these external speakers, along with sound quality?

For best comparison put them equal distance for centre points of the woofers so the RB-95K aren't further apart, as well as same distance from the wall...maybe as if they were standing side-by-side to ensure that stereo separation comparison is neutralized and it is only the sound quality that is compared. Beside sound quality, bass, clarity, any other qualities of sound you wish to highlight, could you please test the limits, as in, how high can you pump the volume on built-in speakers vs. RB-95K before distortion kicks in.

You think you could?
BUMP! Michiel? :-)
