Lovely looking box, the bass issue is weird though.
Maybe the bass slider on the EQ is shorted or open circuit ?

I'll see what I can do about that.

I checked the woofer surrounds and they appear to be good, but I haven't gotten around to opening the speaker housings yet. The speakers are hooked up correctly in the back (no phase problem). The EQ does need to be cleaned as the MID slider hardly has any effect at all. This is a beautiful boombox and I have every intention on getting beautiful sound out of it. It just might take me a while though. Thanks for all the input too - except for Ira and his crazy ideas!
