wow...just wow!

When I fisrt saw that picture of the box it made me sick to my stomach. That feeling that nothing, no matter what you do can be shipped safely. I'm so glad that radio was saved!

Ramon Rocks!

sick to my stomach is exactly what it was like ---

especially --not just any box --
but an m90 from a friend !!!

and the thought of the crude ahole jamming the fork thru it :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

and then - as melly said --they left it - with NO damage notice :annoyed: :annoyed:
-------------------------------------------

another understatement is " ramon rocks "

friends never COUNT favors --so just my wild guess is that ramon has
done 100 ( HUNDRED !!!) good box deeds -- prolly MORE -
over the years -- :angelic: :angelic:

but this one was the most memorable and valuable :-)

What an epic story :w00t:

Good work fellas on getting that grail back on it's feet

The postal service & their fees are definately the worst aspect to this hobby

btw - the other hero//good guy on the initial side of this shipment was our old buddy
gordie ( formerly gordy) :-D
many of us have been lucky to see how great his packing always is -

and in fact - he is THE ONE of us who HATES shipping --
and has actually driven --ALL DAY and all night -
thru ice & snow --just to avoid shipping damages !!!!!!

another lesson learned -- is to always insure big stuff
and to take LOTS of shots of the boomers AND THE PACKING process

as that was surely the ONLY reason the P.O. honored his
insurance claim -- and even that --took over a month

anyway............
THANKS gordie
THANKS ramon

Wow. Rbj, just read this thread from start to finish and was mortified when i first saw that carton especially knowing there was an M90 inside.

Each picture seemed to get worse, but then the actual damge to boomer didnt like anywhere near as bad as i thought it would. Very well packed.

Very happy for you that it all worked out with Ramon sorting the speaker ring and also getting the shipping claim sorted.

Its never over.... :-) :-)

is there anything left of the beater ? good work ramon you are a real friend to do that for ira  glad to see the ole m90 can take a hit from a fork lift and survive with only a trim ring damaged i guess it got unlucky and lucky at the same time.

After being off line for the last day and coming on and reading the beginning of this thread I was mortified!!!

But after reading it through I'm very happy it turned out salvageable! Well done Ira, Ramon and Gordie!
