Nice videos mate. I really like that Club 735 it has some nice touches, the led meters, green lit radio dial, line in. I wander what it would look like without the speaker grills, it looked like some big chrome rings under there.

Last week I helped a friend move into a new home.
As a reward he promised to give me a boombox.
It was quite dirty and stained.
This is my second Sanyo C35.
After I cleaned it, it looks much better:

Well you got me on the differences apart from the door cling. :-)
Brings back memories from 1986 when I got mine. Funny how back then, I would never have considered the line in useful at all as I could never afford a CD player or anything else to plug into it!

Be careful leaving yours in direct sunlight as I ruined my tuner window that way. Sanyo had gone away from using a thick piece of perspex instead opting for a thin piece of stick on clear plastic sheet - it ripples very badly if you dare take it outdoors on a hot day!

The C35 was a nice looker though - particularly in silver. Do the drivers have a strip of timber running up and down behind the driver? I tend to remember that for some reason.

James.... :-)

Hi James. You ask for two wooden slats placed cross inside the speakers?
Yes, they exist, perhaps to compensate for vibrations, I'm not shure...

Continue with more information about SANYO C36 & C35:

SANYO C36 Its price was quite high.
In QUELLE magazine in Germany was sold for 598 DM:

After C35 and C36 (up picture), Sanyo made MTW-5 (down picture)
Like just SANYO C-36L, but it has an analog tuner and LED level meter just like a SANYO C-35:
(pictures from internet, I don't have this model)

SANYO C35 another version - black case, with silver buttons, but only with FM and AM tuner:

SANYO C35 - US version with another name - Realistic Modulaire 2250

(pictures from internet, I don't have this model)
It has FM and AM tuner, Dolby B and 3 dubbing mode:
normal, hi speed and 4 track hi speed recording!!
In this recording mode for 15 minutes can dubbing C-60 cassette on both sides!!
This is something I have not met in any other model.
I think that heads are autoreverse:

If someone have the same model, can write here.

Very soon update in my collection! ;-)

Thanks, JVC Floyd. My collection is small.
I give information, photos and videos to each boombox, I have.

Of course, I have to show a few nice things...
