by day # 4
the crowd is thinning out
but --if you guys go with the 'soft rules'
= 4 of a BRAND (like me)
many are still in -- right ????
I'm trying my best to stick to the "hard rules" of showing alike boxes, if only to see how long I can hang in there. Like holding my breath under water. Unfortunately, according to my latest calculations, it looks like I'll be out of air by Day 8 and have to start resorting (reluctantly) to what we call in our family "The Ira Compromise." On day 12, however, I plan to return with a Big Finish, and put up my QT-50's up against what will surely be Gordie's Conions. I'm just hoping size doesn't matter. (The story of my life!!!)
Anyway, I'm still in, one way or the other.
And no, I don't have a Pioneer 808. I'm willing to bet that, Ira, yours is the only one left on earth. All I've got are a couple of SK-900's (one from Japan), a plastic kit of a 900, and a dance CD with a 900 on the cover. So, I'd say I've got the 900 covered, but - sadly - not the 808. I like it a lot, tho. It looks like a low-end 900, kind of like the Sharp 8787 is basically a low-end 8989. King Kool!
Sorry for the lengthy interruption. Now... on with the show...
