I guess it's my turn to continue the story.
Dave dropped Max off at my house last Sunday.
We chilled in the garage for a while before Dave had to make the long drive home
Max, Dave and Rob (Dave's neighbor)
I set Max up in my camper for the time he was here and even included a blaster so he would feel at home...

Sunday night we hung out in the driveway, drank beer and talked radios as the sun went down.
When it got dark, we moved into the garage and cranked up....you guessed it...The TRC-920

Monday started yet another Los Angeles sightseeing tour to try to hit some of the places he wanted to see. We went to the Santa Monica Pier and then walked down to Venice Beach. Almost all the pictures were taken with his phone, so I'm sure when he gets wifi on his trip he will post them.
I supplied Max with my Lasonic TRC-922 and I rocked the 920

The Santa Monica Pier is about 4 miles away from Venice, so we walked it with the boxes BLASTING the local Rock station and just as we strolled into Venice, AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" started as if on cue. The look on people's faces was PRICELESS!
We rocked those boxes up and down the boardwalk like we owned the place getting high fives, thumbs up and people dancing with us.
Here is Max touching the Pacific Ocean for the first time.

Also some fun shorts that were for sale in a local Venice shop.
Tuesday was an early start to head back 75 miles south to downtown Los Angeles to the Griffith Observatory and a hazy view of Los Angeles

Next we headed to the tallest building west of the Mississippi, the US Bank Tower, which two weeks earlier opened up the 69th and 70th floor called the OUE SkySpace that includes a GLASS SLIDE on the outside of the building from the 70th to 69th floor!
We rocked the Lasonic's in downtown as well

Here we are inside the lobby...
They wouldn't let us take the radio's to the top for security reasons so we had to stash them at the front desk. The people working there were super cool and loved the radio's!
Here is the view from the top!

Here is a woman about to slide out the window and down the slide!
And here is some video from the top and YES Max and I did go down the slide. To say that was INSANE would be an understatement, but since we were there, we had to do it!

Wednesday we took it a bit easier, stayed local in my neck of the woods and hit the Ventura beach and Pier with DarkSideWill

Rockin' some boxes, enjoying the California view!

After the beach, we headed home and Boomboxery Member Fresh Produce (Peter) stopped by my place to meet up with Max!
And that was it! Later that night I drove Max to the bus station so he can continue on his amazing journey!
It was an insane week with Max, he is the nicest guy you will ever meet a Boombox Collector to the CORE and we sure hope to see him again in Las Vegas at the
International Boombox meet in Las Vegas.
