** DIY V3.0 under construction - 3 way, 6 speaker!

Started construction today on the V3.0 with updates to follow. A few members asked for step by step info on my builds including wiring info etc so here we go!

This one will have built-in Bluetooth 4.0.

This latest build is going to sound awesome!! (I hope)

6 x 6 ohm speakers - 5 inch woofers & mids plus proper tweeters courtesy of Sony: (All active speakers, no passives)!

Step 1: Glue up and clamp the base, back and internal walls:
I've chosen 18mm ply for the top, base and sides plus 12mm ply for the front, back and internal walls to save weight.

Having had your DIY V1.0 shatter the delusion that my C-100 was loud I'll be interested to hear this one!

And those cones are getting very blingy for your style James.....it's going to look very smart indeed ; )

The woodwork part of these builds drags a bit due to glue drying times......

I estimate the total weight on completion to be around 9-10 kgs - I'm using Lightweight glue!

This is actually a 20 watts RMS per channel amp. I auditioned these speakers with this amp and they were very loud - they must be quite sensitive.

Ah I see. Still, nothing wrong with even more power, it would prolong the onset of distortion.
