So I was looking up different types of bluetooth modules, and came across these, they're bt 3.0, but the seem to have an extremely long range if I'm reading this correct, (50 meters).

Where as the best range I can find on a 4.0 module is 33 feet, (~10 meters).

I didn't know if that's something worth looking into. But I read the 4.0 uses way less energy. Maybe I'll try myself some time. Hmm...

Mine showed up.

I was hoping to cut open the heat shrink to see the pcb, but its dipped in plastic so you don't mess with it.

From what I can tell, it is the same board without the wires that is much cheaper.

Hopefully the M70 shows up tomorrow and I can dig in!

If you ever absolutely need access to a potted board you can leave it in a jar of gasoline or turpentine for about a month and it will disintegrate and fall away.

The voltage option is nice, the problem is the range of these cheap modules. Maybe 20-30 feet tops. The CPS brand really is the best for range hands down almost 4x the range of any other module I have tested.
