Hey my friend i would love to take this apart, it looks like it uses the same woofers as the dt680 but these are bigger, the 680 woofers do not rot but i have seen some bad condition ones on ebay that are all faded.....yes quite a few rot away like the dt75.........btw my centres are black lol
btw what eggs do you have Reli? just looked on japan, there are loads of dt9 lol

I must be in a minority here as I love the looks of this unit and the Cobra Tops, keep looking at them on eBay but not taken the plunge yet! Closest I have is a Panasonic RX-FT550 to replace the FT-500 I lent to a 'mate' and never got back

These will sound way better than a rx550....the only problem when you get something like a panasonic dt 707 or the dt9 you will not get any better sound quality wise from an 80's box but having said that it's taken me years and there are so many great boxes to chose from....i only discovered the dt9 by mistake and was very sceptical before buying it....i can recommend the Panasonic rx dt707 to you though as it iis much cheaper to buy...the dt9 comes with a premium price

there are other great sounding boxes like the telifunken studio 1 panasonic rx dt 680 690, there are so many lol

Lads if you want the ultimate sounding boombox it is between 4 the jvc rd md5 kaboom with minidisk the sony fh 909 plus the jvc pcx 1000 and lastly this panasonic dt9, the other 3 are streets ahead but the dt9 i think is the best Panasonic made and does sound superb and the only one here that uses batteries

if you want the best sounding from the 80's it's between 2 the telefunken studio 1m 3 piece and the jvc m90 1 piece

that's a new one on me lad, i guess we wait grrrrrrr lol, im not paying for something before it has been built lol...that is the gaming industry all over and it sucks bro...90% of the time they then bring a game out after being paid for and it doesn't even work till months after launch

Well i bought 3 more eggs the main one being the dt5 for parts, it is based on the same shell as the dt9 with the same speaker set up without tweeters

all i can say it's a total disappointment and does not have the deep warm bass of the dt9 lads, mine cost next to nothing but i would totally avoid....3 more eggs to give to someone with nothing imho

Looks great bud, i don't think i have had that one:thumbsup: the display and backlight look sweeeeet :-)

i actually like the looks of a cobra top better than the dt9 but the sound on this model is outstanding, im not sure if it should be called a squegg

as it is missing the cobra top haha
