I found this Sony yesterday :-) Not entirely into Sony's boomboxes (I like their Walkmans tho). But I have an ZX-5S, CFD-5, CFS-9000 and now this FH3. On my wishlist is the ZX-7 :-D

I always read that red FH 's are so rare . The more fun it is to find them in your own neighbourhood . And yes my red FH 7 was a 20 minutes drive from me . Not gonna write what i paid for it though . Like to see one of the red FH series on epay one day. Just to see what People are willing to pay for one that rare

I found mine also an half hour drive from where I live. I'm not gonna say the price either ;) Would be interesting to see one go on eBay indeed. But I think it's not gonna be cheap. Of all my boomers this is one of the most awesome looking! :) And I got many of them. I hope somewhere close to me a nice red fh7 is waiting for me :) time will tell...

:hmmm:
As a related matter of interest; is the turntable that matches the FH7 particularly sought after by owners or are they common and worthless? I ask as I have one that came with a job lot of Hacker radios and some random stuff but I don't have an FH7 so have no use for the turntable. I have had it connected to my Technics SA-C05L via the aux inputs (the Sony turntable has a built-in preamp so that its output - in spite of the moving magnet cartridge - goes to aux rather than phono) and it plays but only has two speeds so is of little interest to me. Your thoughts, Sony enthusiasts?

I think the turntable is quite popular. I saw one on the local 2nd hand stuff site and it was sold in no-time! What colour is it?

The Technics C05 is an awesome box btw! Very lightweight, but it kills a lot of boxes sound wise! Shame that I ain't got the battery pack tho, it's so rare :( Do you have one? Sadly the fh7 has often the same problem :(

The Sony turntable is charcoal in colour, yes, I have my Technics' original battery pack though given the fact that the thing can eat ten Procell Ds in under half an hour of loud tape playing, I seldom use it and the mains PSU is fitted most of the time.
Come to think of it; I still have the boxes (one for the speakers, the other for the cassette/receiver) for my Technics, which I've owned from new. It was a birthday present for my 18th in 1982!

A hardcore FH collector will almost kill for a turntable for These . Looks like they are very rare.
Just like the sony EBP 78 battery pack. Certainly in red
