I have a CFS 500 - without a doubt the 2nd best sounding box in my collection and a great carry around box, but remember, this is a very small collection. Also have an absolute minty 3 pc Sony CFS CFS W600 "Transsound" - got it for about $26 a few weeks ago, so minty in fact that it still has that new plastic smell! The CFS 99 is on my wish list...

You could say I'm a fan....

CFS 9900, FH7 MkI, FH7 MkII, many walkmen, turntables, discmen, plus some stuff I can't recall.

thanks

If you're talking about the sexy  silver Sony at the top of the page, naw, that's not it. The Sony ZILBA'P CFS-V8:

It's also called a CFS-855 and CFS-V980. ;-)

It's not spectacular sounding but sounds good to me. In fact, it's the best sounding Sony I have and possibly the 3rd best sounding box I have overall. It's sound is more balanced... nothing pops out at you, so it doesn't have the highs of a top shelf Toshiba or Hitachi. It's bass is no big deal either, but like I said, I like it. :-)

thats one nice box different but has got a nice look

I have it but my speaker surrounds are gone.... :bang:
Still available as aftermarket replacements though, and square so pretty difficult to get it wrong. Go on, order some up and fix it! You can do this, Royce.

Hi John,

I replaced them with 100 watts round woofers. They rock but I loved the metallic thud of the square speakers. I saved them and now need to work on fixing the surrounds. :-D

Own a couple 3-piecers a cfd-626 which is really heavy on bass plus has a cool 6 cd disc changer and a less powerful cfd-767 that feels very well built, has decent if not overpowering sound but it's reliable.
