Another ebay bargain 😂

I highly doubt that the decal is original. I have purchased many sets over the years and never saw a radio out of the box with a sticker like that affixed to it although to be honest, I never bought one of these brand new. Plus look at the way it wraps around and is "molded" to the speakers which isn't flat. That just looks plain stupid and just makes me doubt more that a manufacturer will package something like that. Well, everyone is offering "stickered" radios today which apparently adds thousands to the price tag. So why not add one to this guy too? On the other hand, the unit is in excellent shape which is hard to find as these radios do often take a beating cosmetically. Perhaps I don't know what I"m talking about, which wouldn't be the first time, but I'm unconvinced.

As for the price.... well, the unit looks to be in superb shape which makes it really desirable. Still....

If anyone thinks a seller that's asking these prices upwards of 10K for a boom box isn't GREEDY? ....Well sorry I don't agree.

You would take the maximum offer on your home, right? Unless maybe there was a family with a nice story you really connected with, so you took their offer even though you knew it wouldn't be the highest.....But that's not very common. And on Ebay, you can't get to know anyone anyway, so why not try to get as much money from them as you can?

What the Russian guy (a.redchenko70) is doing is "Setting the Perception"...….Making people THINK a box is really valuable. Perception is reality. Also, his auctions encourage other sellers to raise their prices, which reduces the number of "good deals" on Ebay, meaning that one day he'll get something close to his asking price. He's in no hurry. He's playing the long game, like OPEC lol. He has almost 200 boxes on Ebay at any given time. I just block him from my searches, but if someone wants to pay his prices, that's fine with me. I admit, I've been jealous about stuff like this a lot, but it's not a productive emotion.
