Thanks for the link to that one Az...it was going cheap so I bought it lol :-)
Ha ha no wories mate, could do with another one myself tbh. The downside to these attenuators is the cable is so short on them
so what happens is if your inputs are high up on the box, like on the 950, the adaptor is left hanging which puts lots of strain on the jacks and eventually they tear and break  do you know of any other models with more cable length on them?

If you open up the big, heavy outer casing of the attenuator, you will discover the internal workings are actually very compact and lightweight. I suppose the outer casing must provide some type of shielding?!

Anyway, I'm thinking it might be wise to just mount the internal board inside your Boombox intercepting the phono circuit and the external inputs. The attenuator doesn't need to be powered so it should be any easy mod.

Yeh the casing is a bit heavy so I took the internals out of one and made a lightweight much smaller plastic case with a 3.5mm socket as I was worried about my M70 being knocked. Wasn't difficult. Mounting the circuit inside the boombox too would work but I have more boxes with phono input than I do attenuators, tho I think I have four already
