Dang Joe! Congratulations! That is so awesome. I'll trade You Your old Lasonic TRC-935 back for that M90 . Or, a real nice GPX! :-D

This could very well be a virgin box. Not a single ding in the speaker grills or top trim. I'm so very happy!

New low record?! I haven't heard of any better M90 deals in probably the last 5 years or more.

I think Max is right, the tarnish on the knobs and chrome will come off. I would have started cleaning it but had so much to do today on 4 hours of sleep.

Good review Joe! I felt like I was there checking it out too.. Those speaker rings look like they will polish up no problem!

Didnt that member from the UK get a M-90 from his elderly neighbors garage for free a few years back..?

He set his price, not me. Shoot he got 2x as much from me than if he let anyone else pick it up!

Any guilt I would have felt from buying a very nice M90 for $100 would be quickly forgotten after cranking some tunes on that beast!

Now fix those scratchy controls and then post another video so we can feel even more jealous all over again. :-P

James... :-)

No guilt here! I feel it is our duty to save these boxes from someones garage or the dump. If its full ebay prices or bargain basement prices, we need to do what we can. 1 good score makes up for the other 1/2 dozen not-so-good scores we might have had in the past. Plus if there is no hope to even find boxes like this in the wild, our fun and passion for searching would be over!

I do it for the thrill of the hunt and I got a thirty point buck this time! .

I swapped the OG antennas off my brooklyn M90 over to the craigslist M90. It will probably turn into a shelf queen after it is cleaned up!

Brutus, you are so right. For the price I paid for such a nice M90, it mind as well have been free. It needs really no restoration, just cleaning and hopefully just deck belts. I did pay my friend Jason $100 to drop everything he had planned to pick up the box. A few days later he took time out of his day to meet up with me. All small dues to pay to make a deal work.

I couldn't resist just giving it a quick exterior clean with mild soap/water. That cleaned up all the crud on the outside woohoo. I snapped some pics and video. I can't believe that this box is almost show room condition, love, love, love it!

While playing with it the cassette deck started working! Wow!
