Boomboxery
Right now I'm hopping from box to box, eventually one thing goes wrong on a bunch of them, so to fix six problems you have to tear apart six boxes to various levels.

Bought 2 Paradigm speakers that will be modified to fit like the original speakers. Fittting the original front grills Is the real chalange. The reason for this project is the bass missing with the original speakers. The Paradigm produces incridible bass and amazing overall sound.
Will I call it a Pana-digm or a Para-sonic boombox now? 😜

The devil in disguise , I love it , **** the old speakers if they suck it takes work but its the biggest improvement you can make ,and these compo boxes rule when they are tuned and tweaked and can ****ing waste a 1 piece box.

Disguise, why not? It was alloween not so long ago right? ;-)
You are right. It does take some work and fine tuning... but the result, the improvement is like going from black to white. No grey zone here.
I kept the original boxes if I ever want to go back to listening to music from cardboard boxes...
In 3 words... IT KICKS ASS!!!

Not a huge project, but I just finished the clean up on this little SOUNDESIGN 4632. The same model that Prince Markee Dee of the FAT BOYS carried down the block in the 1985 movie "KRUSH GROOVE". This is actually the before pic, but it kinda looks the same after clean up LOL

Next up, is the tear down and grime removal of this new to me LLOYDS PT003 :-)

Savage indeed Floyd, i can't even take the pc5 to full volume lol.....im not sure what it's done but iv replaced the original 6 ohm jvc drivers with 3 ohm drivers of the rx 60 and the volume just went of the chart lol...im looking for another pc 55 because i have some Panasonic 2.7 ohm speakers to go in there, the trouble withe the 55 the display is always cream crackered and they look dreadful like that buddy

Same here 3 ohm speakers with a 95 db signal noise ratio and the damn PC 11 just lit up with awesome thumping crazy loud sound.

I would love to have a PC 5 a PC 3 PC 7 , I'm done with the PC 55 there's just too much **** that can go wrong , a real shame too because the potential of the PC compo boxes is off the scale.
