This conference room is just for members, and not the public, corrrect? If so, another alternative is to rent out a penthouse suite, and then invite "guests".

Yes, no 1000$ tacos, but in vegas, you shouldnt have to spend much on food anyway. order pizza instead? Or go to the casino, stuff yourself, then go to the suite. :)

advantages:
24 hours to setup boomboxes, not 4.
No annoying executives telling you how to run the room, or charging extra fees.
Need tables? Drag them in from the other guests rooms, or bring in a few cardboard tables.

Here is a random article I found on how a penthouse suite can make a good meet up:

This was brought up before and yes, it would be cool. I'll look into it.

Wherever we go, power is a concern, for 3 reasons:

1) We need power strips and extension cords. Ideally we could power all of them at the same time, and shoot a video of it.
2) So either we use theirs, or we bring ours.
3) Either way, the property owner would need to approve their use. At most large hotels you can't just bring your own power strips and hook them up yourself. Safety regulations.

Here is the electrical policy in the Circus Circus conference room. We have full use of their power outlets in the room. If we need them to supply us with power strips, they charge a $5 "engineering fee" per power strip. We are allowed to use our own power strips at no additional cost but we have to bring our own tape and tape down all the wires.

I looked into getting a suite and it's not a possibility for that weekend. They only have one and it's their small suite that won't be big enough to accommodate our group.

When we had the Midwest meet a couple years ago we didn't plug every Boombox in. We had a couple areas to try out the boomers. Just a thought 😉
