My Top Five:


1. DIY box - big power and great sound quality (modern amp & speaker technology)

2. Sanyo M9998K - nice, warm sound but not a powerhouse.
3. Hitachi TRK-9150 - hairy chested bass machine with nice highs
4. National RX-C45 - good all around bassy sound particularly considering the tinny speakers
5. Hitachi TRK-9300 - honest performer with the 5 band equaliser.

I have only five boomboxes so this should be easy.
1. Panasonic RX-7700 superb build quality, rock solid tape deck, best radio tuner made. Looks badass!
2. Panasonic RX-DT707 killer sound system with many features. Bass response you can feel!
3. JVC RC-M70 love the punchy sound from blue woofers! Great tape deck! Perfect look for radio boombox!
4. Panasonic RX-5085 great sound from a medium sized boombox, love the Ambience feature on it!
5. Panasonic RX-5180 cool little mini boombox that cranks very good! Solid construction, typical Panny quality.
