I was that way at first with my boxes, didn't want to mess them up. I had one guy wanting to take pictures of my TRC-931 on his shoulder. I was like "Oh no!" But he said he would be careful and nothing happened...Sigh. I used m 777 during my daghters B-day and evryone loved it. Hey, if something happens it happens. It would be worse if something goes bad by letting them sit with no use.

By the way, welcome... :-)

hey greg --thanks for your interesting post --
have often been in a similar spot --with boxes 'too mint' to use and
enjoy -- so i sold them !!! :dunce: :-O :-D

if you like advice -- i ALWAYS have some :-) :-)

for instance --if you sell your panny 680 --
you prolly wont get much $$ for it :sadno:

and even for twice the money you get -
you will never replace the great sound it puts out --
so --you might as well use it - smash it around- and really enjoy it

Use Em........

That's why they were produced..... :-D

Not to sit there and flirt with you........Just be as careful as you can..Murphy finds us all anyways.....Trust me, If you lost it too
some disaster, theft or fire then you would sit there and say to yourself....But I never even had a chance to listen to it..... :'-(
Sometimes taking too much care can lead to disaster.......So enjoy them....
I just picked up a vintage and use it like it may die tomorrow.........If I let it sit then I will have no joy.......

Thanks for the welcome.

I used to look around another site, (I won't mention the name) But it seemed so 1 sided and biased that it really just made me shy away from ever trying to post comments or share info. I don't know why people act like they need to be so controlling and interfere but this place seems totally opposite. Thanks again and I will pop some pic's up here as soon as the liquid sunshine disappears here.

here is a crazy idea I am currently working on. I will haul a deep cycle battery around to power it and I got a killer boat horn thats about a foot and a half long in case the music doesn't hit them first. I want to paint it like a candy apple red with old school metal flakes and make the basket fiberglass so you can't see the battery. We'll see

Ira I have my minties which is cool but I also have my "not so minties" like my Aiwa CS-660 that I like to use so I have all bases covered in my collection.

and ....................
if you get a BIG gel cell --say like a 38 amp job --
you could also rig a 12v motor to your trike --

drive around and boom around all day -
NO SWEAT !!!

I wish you all the best of luck finding the radios you're after Kaboomer and hope you find this place as valuable and friendly as the rest of us do.

Like I always say, without this community I'd still be looking for my first radio.

Rock On, Greg!
