Now those puppies are moving some air!!!!!
Much of an improvement over the stiff original surrounds.
I would bet you are getting the lower frequencies now.
Congrats on the successful rebuild

I love how the foam surrounds give the woofs a meatier look.

Congratulations, Andre!!! :surf:  :afro: :super: :breakdance: :sin:

PS - Nice dub track. :-D

Thanks Bobby!

What is the name of that track?

Sounds great, man! It's always nice when something old is made new again.

Bad english doesn't matter when you have a BEAST like that! :w00t:

Bad English was a cool 90's rock bad with the guitarist from Journey! :w00t:

Aside from that, looks like they did a great job. Did you notice any real difference in the bass?

I will test the bass with a original M90 on the 2nd International Boombox Meeting this weekend.
Some lil movies will following ;-)

...bad english i know

Fantastic recovery, Andre!! And that the sound has improved is even more killer!

Is there a possibility the original surrounds get more stiff with age and then they eventually tear?

Looking forward to doing this to one of mine when that day comes!!
Rock On.

What happened is the "mastic" placed on the paper to keep the paer surrounds pliable dried out. As it dried out the constant motion eventually lead to the tear. With the rolled surrounds there will be a pronounced increase in low end as the woofer now has more "throw" versus the paper surround. What one will also notice too is that the bass will get sloppier as that woofer was not designed to throw in that manner. The entirety of the speaker components are affected, notably the spider which will only extend so far. Plus the cone thickness may be subject to more flexing than originally designed for.

Regardless, if one is mindful of these factors, there will be much enjoyment to be had. :-D
