Boom Shaka Laka
Requiem Æternam
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you'll be very pleased with this box. It's heavy for its size, has switches with a solid feel, is larger than a Sanyo 7900 (which it kind of looks like... especially the switches and feet), and sounds surprisingly full and rich... with crisp highs, too, thanks to the separate treble and bass controls. Bonuses: the AC cord is kept in a compartment separate from the batteries. Chrome flap (with labels for headphones and L & R mic input jacks) on bottom right flips up when not in use so it matches the chrome strip under the tape deck keys. Clever, huh?)
I was pleasantly surprised with my 5265, which, despite its somewhat disheveled appearance (a few paint spots, a Radio Shack antenna, and some crooked tape keys), performs perfectly and sounds terrific! Not bad for $7.95 at one of our local thrift stores. A cut above your average mini/midi.
