IF its like the 9996 --which is almost/about like the blockbuster -

if its just another so//so box :-O :

it does LOOK nice --
but when we get any box --
that has no sonic excitement --

then it becomes an immediate shelf queen :dunce:

Nah Ira, I was just kidding. I WAS watching it but then again, I watch so many items and then never act on them. I guess I feel like I already own them when they're on my watch list. The one that spud was talking about -- I saw that one but it's not nearly as nice as the one you won. I didn't even bother to put that one on my watch list. Higher price and not as nice -- why bother.

THAT being said.... no, it's not an M9996. I merely said it "looks" like one. The M9996 is slightly larger and way heavier (17lbs w/batteries) vs. 9lbs w/o batts for the one you are getting. Probably a copy of the Sanyo model. I'm sure you'll tell us all about it when you get it.

hey ira- i got a very minty one :) why you want it? it is not blockbuster sized at all. it is 20" x 7-1/2" tall x 4", well made and heavy little sucker, 35Watt input, phono inputs, inline, pretty fat little mini. i haven't played it for a while so will dig it out and give you a sound review shortly...

Its a semi-loud box, not close to SCR-8 loud but OK. Not very bassy but clear mids and highs, stereo accent. Great looking box, not fantastic sound...

if you miss the auction, I will might make you a very tidy deal. :)

Oh I see you are a proud owner already... well i have like 60 boxes and i really like the look and feel of this box, not a party pumper but a decent box that I like. We can compare notes when you get your POS :lol:

I have one also but mine is bead. It is ok. the phono on it is good.

It is a higher quality box but the speakers on it are not that great.
