I didn't answer because I'm biased. Still, it was kinda a random thing for him to say... 8 pages of boombox pics and he focused in on what dual members said.
Didn't want to go all the way back but I don't even know how he got from all the pics being posted to that comment out of the blue....

I'll be leaving that one alone. Wait why do we have Chevrolet, Ford, Toyota and all the other car makers wouldn't one car suffice for everybody?

Reli's one of those strange dudes who's cassettes have gotta be lined up perfectly in the cassette door, has questions for almost everything but never any congratulations for anybody who gets a new boombox, and... I could go on... but what's the point?

Very true Mono that kind of attitude is counter to part of what is keeping this site so awesome.
Well, I for one AM NOT afraid.
The bottom line is this....
Life and technology have a way of evolving themselves. And publications as well. The difference is that where we are is feature friendly and has some of our input actually applied. Not only that, it has a slicker interface with fun features. And this site evolves as well...
And before someone says it, no, it's not like comparing a Walkman to an iPod. It's like going from a Normal Bias C45 cassette to a Sony Metal Master. They can both still play on the same machine (computer) one just does it better.
s2g has not evolved, is not interface friendly, and does not have the fun features...and does not kick ass....it's an OK place to visit but like an old unloved neighborhood is looking kinda run down.

I haven't been over there or logged in for like 10 months!!! Close to that.
Why go over there when all the COOL people are over here!!!

But the truth is what it is. And though it may seem petty, it was intentional and made the point. Over there I was considered greedy by some for wanting the black Sansui CP-7 even though I had a silver one. Here, it was just a matter of people who had gotten to know me and came together for me. And still I am eternaly graeful.
It is just another example of why he should just check it out.

I was happy to answer his quote. This is a flat out better site with better individuals, period. This is a much more welcoming site and I have a lot of respect for all comments good and bad on this site. Information that I have received here has helped to shape my collection to where it is today. This site helps to fuel the fire for my love of boomboxes. The members of S2G have a tendancy to be negative smart-a$$e$ a majority of the time. I still look over there to see what is going on from time to time but the majority of my time is spent here...things over there have gone stale, and for good reason.
