I get asked all the time, "Are you a boombox collector"? I always answer "Hell no, I am a boombox user". Yes I take great care of my boomers, but at the same time I use them all. We are not going to live forever and I didn't spend all that time and money restoring my boomboxes for someone else to enjoy 20-30 years from now. I enjoy using them now because they were a part of my life in the early 80's ( I was 14 years old in 1980 ). So if I had to ever sell a boombox it would come down to the one I don't use. :-P

Ain't that how it always goes? Shelf queen is usually the one that goes first... ;-)
Nope! Not at all. It could come down to the one they can sell the quickest, get the most money, or the one that's in most demand. ;-)

If I had to sell any one of those, it would have to be the one that's easiest to replace with an identical model. That said, I would make every effort to ensure I could get it into the hands of a fellow collector who will continue to care for it thus, preserving it for decades longer.

Yup! I miss it but it couldn't be with a cooler dude so that make it easier on me.
