What's the most you ever paid for a boombox?

$980 for a beat up M90 that in the end even after fixing it up I didn't even like anymore. Traded it for a Korean C-100f. Won't touch another M90 unless it's in a trade or something similar.

700$ for Diatone JR-711 on the Japanese Yahoo (without overhead costs like shipping, etc.),
should be in a good working and cosmetic condition but haven't received it yet.
Still en route.

Just under $400 with shipping included, which although my M70 looks and sounds great, it wasn't a price I'd normally settle for. But, having just gotten into the game at the beginning of the year I was after an L or a C before summer got underway. 0% regrets, 100% incredible summer. If I ever pay more than that, it's because it's on the list of boxes I'd love to own and were in fantastic condition.

Over $1000 for my JVC RC550. No regrets because it was in like new condition and I was dreaming to have one for so many years.
The seller saw my jaw dropping and eyes coming our of the socket when I saw it. He really made use of the situation when I started to drool.

Remember I was seeing that in real life after seeing one at an airport way back in 1979 or so... my heart stopped for a sec...
