Help me out here. This is an ISP STR-850. Just received it from Fred (Zippy), he re-shipped it from some fool on Ebay who refused to ship to the US. 
The build quality isn't that great, it needs lots of cleaning and DeOxit, but it has very good FM reception and heavy-hitting bass like a Crown 850, maybe even more!
It looks OK in these pictures, but that's because I made sure the speaker rings were reflecting light. If I didn't, it would look boring as hell. The entire box is dull, boring gray/silver. It DEMANDS a new paint job. What color would YOU paint it?
I don't think I want to paint the entire box, because then I'd have to get new labels for the knobs. I don't know anyone locally who makes labels. So, forgetting about that idea for a moment, I'm thinking about painting only the area around the speakers. You see that square groove going around the speakers? That would be the border line. I was thinking about using a flat blue primer, to match the blue markings in the tuner dial. I don't think I want a glossy or metallic blue, because there's nothing shiny on this box.
How do you think that would look, with just the speaker sections painted? Any other ideas?
By the way, here's a size comparison for you. This box is hilariously thick. It's almost as thick as my Sharp TV box!
