Ey up ira, First off i changed the tweeters and crosovers and replaced them with a spair set of m90 tweets and crosovers

Then i put a set of my replacment woofers off one of my m90's now here comes the inportant bit, i drilled about 20 holes in the back of each speaker box alowing the speakers to breath i know thats the kind of thing you would do ira

But my god what a differance it sounds as clear as an m90 easily and the boxiness has gone and been replaced by a real deep warm bass.

I had totally forgotten about my mod when i pulled the box out eirlier expecting the same not so good sound (well i diddn't like it) but instead it was Realy like listning to my x m90 i would recommend anybody to have a go what a diferance in sound. .

i have no problem drilling the 20 holes !!!

but --i always practice first on a beater/junker box
so --will be looking for an 'experienced' 480

I know what yr sayin ira but i had no plans on selling the fisher and now i have heard it again properly she will do as my replacment m90 for now she has the clarity of an m90 and the bass is as good as the 880 with more power.

The only real prob with the 480 it's soo damn big and heavy grrrr :'-(

the only reason i did that freddie was i noticed the sound was much warmer when the backs were off the boxes

Now listening on my GF9494 to one of our local BBC stations on MW that has had a recent audio upgrade and I must say that for MW/AM it sounds pretty nice.
