Many of the Sharp GF-9X9X boxes only have a phon-in. To step down that phono signal for using a stanard line-in, you need a cheap device called a phono-annenuator.

If you are in the USA, here is one that I picked up and works great. It costs less than $10, from reputable seller MCM Electronics.

Not sure who sells them in the UK retail, Maplin?

Being stunned again by the sheer brilliance of the FM tuner in my Pioneer SK353.

It's easily the best FM sensitivity and the quieting of the receiver in good signal stereo is exemplary - no detectable hiss.

Been rotating them all so far this weekend...bad news though....

The Panasonic RX-C100 will not play. Powers on...selector works, no sound. :sadno:

Yep. Was getting it ready to play last night when it would do everything except put out sound.Just ran a quick diagnostic.

Cassette: Normal (Except for TPS)

Tuner: From what I can best tell...Normal

Line In: Normal

Phono: Normal

I am leaning toward somthing in the stage between the input stages to the volume, EQ, and meters. The TPS (Tape Search) cannot "see" the audio signal apparently as I can turn it on but cannot program it. (Will not react to button.) :hmmm:

That's two Panasonics down now. The RX-C60 is still disabled as well. :sad:

But...the beat goes on.... :stereo:

Damn what a bummer :'-( :sad: the rxc100 is such a sweet box :-O hope you can get her up and running dude real soon :-)

Playing my modded fisher 480 genisis mamma, damn this box sounds good after a total reamod. :-) :w00t:
