...I said before this one is a match for a JVC Hyper Bass or a Cobratop Panasonic.
Not sure now. it's very close to the JVC, but not quite as good. Also I suspect a Cobratop would outstrip both of them, if my RX-DT Panny is anything to go by...

Still all of the above represent the end-era of boombox quality, when the manufacturers were at least still trying. The overall sound quality from any of these is streets ahead of some earlier stuff of a similar size.

Hey Roman-any way to put up a small(slide or similar) projector and incorporate it into the top of this thing??
It would be cool to project the album art or cover when playing a tape & have it spin around the room!!!!
I have this crazy idea!!
Love this boomer!
Have a good one-GB.  :hmmm:

I know it's not really a boombox but anyway...

Listening to my iPod (5th gen) through a Sony SEQ-50 (walkman ad-on EQ):

feeding Sennheiser HD250 Linear headphones (top model, £100+ in the early 90s):

The results are fantastic.
I'm doing some "revision" before a Gary Numan gig this saturday - that guy likes his bass & this little set up delivers plenty of it.
Whoever said iPod headphones output is rubbish has been using the iPod built-in EQ, which is to be avoided. A "headphone separates system" like this is the way to go :-)
