Looks awesome! Probably the best looking Sanyo. Does anyone know how it sounds compared to the M9994?
The 720 is a stronger sounding box than a M9994 for sure.

Waited years for a good fully working 8614 & as so often happens, I got it for way less than I was prepared to pay 😊 doesn't happen very often sadly!!

Continuing to run in the Panny transplant speakers in my Uher Power Port 2

The more I use it the better they sound which is normal for brand new speaker drivers

Cassette deck a joy, lovely soft touch & mechanically very quiet & stable even on solo guitars & piano's - a tough test for any boomer :-P

One of Philips unsung hero's - The D8514 Powerplay!!

If you find a minter like this then buy it you won't be disappointed!!

Not quite an 8614 but it's pretty damn close with a powerful bass & very sweet treble :-)

The sibilance heard here is down to my phone camera, these things sound amazing!!

A really ace piece of music playing & not an easy track for any portable to reproduce as there is big dynamic range to cope with!!

A brand new chrome tape (BASF) recorded as always on my Technics RS-B655 cassette deck - these direct drive decks take a lot of beating...........awesome stability & Dolby HX Pro make for stunning recordings!!..........They stopped making these quality decks in the early 90's after which they were never the same again - Technics legacy lives on through these machines & their direct drive turntables..............

Cranking my most used and most loved 'carry around' box. :-)
Yep, my $20.50 Hitachi 3D7. Records and plays tapes without fault, great tuner with excellent sensitivity, loud as all get out with really nice highs and solid bass. It's my idea of a teenage delinquent box - solid build, bugger all bling but it's got it where it counts.

A really nice example of an honest old box - simple design, 3 amps and no frills. Sips the D cells too - great all round box and not too heavy for us oldies! :lol:IMG_3464.JPG
