Yeah Mel!!! You got us all drooling at your custom boxes. Where did you get them painted?
Thanks for all the love fellas. I paint them in my garage. Started doing them about 7 years ago. Mostly for myself but I have done a few projects for members as well.

Hitachi 3D80.

War/ No More Trouble. Babylon By Bus. Bob Marley. via Ion bluetooth cassette.

Was playing some Swazi and South African music earlier (Bholoja and Stimela respectively) on the Sharp WF-T380 via iTunes. But one channel keeps fading out. The 3D80 has a warmer sound anyway. The bass fill is much better.

I was going to sell this as its never used and the wrong voltage.
Now I'm definitely keeping it. Fantastic sound and another Panasonic mini compo that embarrasses much larger boxes.

Which board did you replace, the main one? there might be a smaller board that the meters mount on, and if so, that board would have a couple pots that could be adjusted for meter strength.

There is a separate circuit board for the VU meters with 2 semi adjustable resistors on board. Neither seem to make any difference to the way the LEDs light up though last time I checked.

Sounds like he has a problem further down stream.
