The GF-575 and 4008 are doing their thing on the floor... Taking the edge of with some old pop/dance from "Groove FM". Station is not even a local radio! No way any new tuner could ever find it. Even a car radio wont play it before driving about 80-100 km north 
Today I got my Sound 4008 (aka Conion GA 9000), really really fine machine! Just needed a bit of tweaking and cleaning. Shame no pictures... I was in a real hurry.

I've been cranking my Sharp GF-8989II alot lately!!!!
I had it with me when I went to my brothers cabin up northfor
8 days and then to a camping party for 2 days in my tent in central
Wisconsin by the Chippewa river near Eau Claire!
This thing pounded and was used heavily by me for 12 out of 18 days
while I was gone.
The tape was used 98% of the time!
I serviced the deck completely and it works so good that it just fllies
on FF ' Rewind even rewind music scan works fine!!!
I did good!!!!
Yes the 8989II has been my friend and by my side for weeks!!!
