I agree if pioneer had just put some damn coaxial speakers in the SK 9000 it would have been so simple but would make a world of difference in the sound.

Still sounds very good IMO.

Also everyone here seems to worship the JVC PC-5 even though it has no tweeters.

My only gripe is when you buy a boombox that expensive you expect tweeters lol. Mind you dual cone speaker are useful at times.

There are many factors to consider here but overall I do agree with JimmyJimmy here as he has a few and having all these models as do I this is a partial list.

Yes JVC overall decks and quality are superb
Panasonic for their reliability and decks
Pioneer has some super quality units!
