What a SHARP New Boomer!!

So here is my newest addition to my collection thanks to Jimmy (Bklyn Sound). As I said in last post Jimmy is an awesome friend . This Sharp GF9494X is in almost mint condition, it even has Fatdog Labels already!!!

I had to just make a few minor repairs to the screw posts and fully clean, rebelt and demagnetize tape head. A few other minor adjustments and this bad boy is singing like a bird...

One thing I must say is I just sold my GF9191X and I thought that was a great box, but this 9494 is way better looking and sounding

If ever you want to buy a Boombox, Jimmy is your guy. Thanks again Buddy. I love it !!!

I've always loved the look of the 9494 and would love to have one but it'll have to wait.
No more boomers until I find a new job to replace my current "toilet cleaning" job that is residential construction supervision.
How is the sound on these, BTW? I've never actually heard one.

Thanks guys.. The box sounds much better than my GF9191 did. Not quite M70 quality... but awesome in my opinion!!!

Congrats! The X version of the 9494 is indeed one beautiful radio .
Sadly it is not very common in Germany - we only get the job with the black dustcaps which look

The radio reception on these models are real nice. I love my GF9696F.
