Max, I think right now is a great time to be alive, even with all the trouble and strife in the world. 
Think about it; there's more availability of cool music, movies, old tv shows, and gadgets than ever before (at least in my lifetime). When I was a kid in the 60s-70s, if you missed a great film or tv show, it was gone forever. VHS and later DVD changed that. If you had a favorite song, you could enjoy it only as long as it stayed on the radio pop music charts, unless you had a record player and could afford a large record collection. Now everything is out there; you just have to find it on the Internet
(cool car; my first car was a '66 VW bug; I owned it around '76).

Hi mmcodomino-I also like the original Herbie movies the best! I saw them in the movie theatre back in the day-loved them!
I did like the Herbie Fully Loaded movie with Lindsay Lohan-I guess I'm a sucker for pretty girls!!
As far as Lindsay goes-Her parents are big time drug users so you can imagine why Lindsay is the way she is-I feel sorry for her actually-she's been through hell.

Hope she gets her life together... Would be a shame if we lost another young star to drugs. 
Yes I'm a Lindsay Lohan fan as wel, such a great looking girl and actress to boot........I also wholeheartedly agree with radiodayz's post; for example I'm listening to a cassette on my '81 Sharp GF-6262 box while typing this on an HP netbook I bought less than a month ago. The tape? Lady Gaga: The Fame (vinyl edition). How's that for reaching across the ages?
