Anyone know what all can cause the music to sound warbly. I have heard decks using rubber bands and not real belts cause this but can anything else
I believe I have found issue. I plugged my headphones in jack and listened. The sound was perfect. Then I pulled plug out and boom sounded better. Seems like a dirty headphone jack was the problem. Thanks for all helpTW5 said:Also the type of warble can be a clue, how the warble sounds.
Rick, so what did you do to pinch roller I seriously have had this deck issue and my Marantz tuner issue boggling my mind for a week. I can't believe I plug in headphones and the noise is gone... Whoo....whooooGluecifer said:Haha, twas not all for nought though, TW5.
As an avid reader of this thread I fixed the warbling on my GF-535 with a rebelting and a bit of work on the pinch roller.
Thanks rockers!

The Roller Slashing Repair works!!
Long as the cuts are only light and on the surface I can't see this doing any real damaged. Some pinch roller assemblies look like an absolute nightmare to get of the decks to replace the rubber on, I think this solution should work a treat. It's just like adding tread to a car tyre, in theory. But getting breaking up the hard rubber on the surface is a big help too.
Not looking forward to Norm getting back and reading this... I can see him rolling his eyes already! I have every intention of replacing the pinch roller eventually, Norm!!
