I have two Korean versions and three Japanese. Actually, two Japanese... I forgot I sold one. All sound great. There are a few differences internally and externally.

those korean version are fairly rare and finding it in the wild in that condition is an extra bonus.

when i get all moved into a new place ill take the time to dissect them for the camera to show the differences. ive gutted and rebuilt both kinds, m so im pretty familiar with each internally.

Welcome murfino, you started at the top of the hill but don't worry there are lots of great boxes to collect.
To find that as your first box and in the wild is incredible, it doesn't get much better.

I'm not far from Belmont racetrack myself. If you want to compare with your version and mine (japan) let me know and i'll come through

Welcome. That is certainly a model that many boomboxery members hope and aspire to someday be graced to own. Merely owning one does not a boomboxery collector make, however. Many of our most fervid / passionate members do not have it. I don't think there is a clear definition of a true boomboxery member but suffice to say that if you have the zeal, energy and desire to follow, collect and study boomboxes, then you are definitely a "boomboxery member."

Hi Super,

I also got lucky to get a Korean make of Conion C100F. From your opinion except for not having those beautiful VU meters and the tape direction lights do you know if they are the same in mechanical quality and sound quality?

Please advice..
