Just lost on auction for a Vinix on ebay... I have never seen the model before but I thought it looked absolutely awesome! In retrospect I'm bitter and killing myself for not bidding higher :'-(

Does anybody know anything about it? How it sounds? Is it extremely rare? I've NEVER seen it before!
Please either tell me that it sounds like crap or that they are not as rare as it seems!

these are not that rare on europe ebay --
come up a few times per year

the sound is decent for a 'novelty' box ...
but its just a 5 minute listen --at most

it sure is fun to look at - :agree:

that final price was way too high --anyway

Ok, in fact, Ira did show me his, but it's smaller than I envisioned it. The infatuation does wear out pretty quickly.

I was tempted too, but then I was turned off by the fact that it only has 2 speakers. This gives it a "top-heavy" appearance.

I know I for one won't consider my collection anywhere remotely near complete without a Vinix.
I'm almost more jealous of AZA having one than his BomBeat 40.

Hm ok, but was it really that overpriced? A nice m70 went yesterday for $800 on ebay.de. Thanks for the encouragement redbenjoe, I guess I'll just have to keep my eyes open on European epay! :-)

I live in Norway though what kind of a small fortune would it cost to ship James?

Did Vinix make other boxes in the same style? Bigger ones?

Man that thing looks nice! Does your box feel small or does is it the size it should be if you know what i mean? :-)

its a sweet looking novelty box -
but i predict you will be disappointed if you paid $$ alot for one
