Last night I was invited over to a friends house for a small get together. She has stage 4 terminal cancer :'-(
But she wanted some of her friends over to enjoy looking at old pictures and spend some time together with her.
When I showed up, I was escorted through the house into the backyard where there were about 12-15 people. They were all kind of mulling around talking in groups, no one smiling all in a somber mood.
When I walked into the back yard, I had my TRC-935 in one hand and an 18 pack of Coors light in the other. One guy yells out, "I see you brought your Hi FI"
I said "YEP, WHO NEEDS A BEER!" (Instant Popularity!).
The first thing I did was set the blaster on the bar and let her loose
As the first few seconds of music lit up the back yard, two girls came through the door into the back yard. Both let out a girly scream, ran over to my friend who is sick, gave her a huge hug and like a light switch, people started mingling and the mood went from sad to happy to an energized party filled with laughter and love! People started telling stories and sharing memories. Beer's were cracked open and the music volume started creeping up! Before you knew it, people were dancing and smiling and I felt like I had done my Blaster Duty!
It is amazing what one of these machines can do!
