TRK-8200 - Right VU rises 3/4 and then stays

Hi All

My 8200 right VU has suddenly developed a fault where the right hand side VU goes approx. 3/4 to the right and then remains there and stationary. The left VU moves as expected, the strange thing is the sound appears to be emitting from both left and right channel speakers as expected. I can live with it, as its my working on the car / doing jobs / whatever box, it has a hard life, but it is looked after.

Try a drop of isopropyl alcohol on the needle mechanism

f you've never cleaned all of the controls and don't mind taking it apart, it couldn't hurt to try that.
Since you're using it in rough environments there could be dust and dirt getting in there especially since they're on top.
