Tri Grail Trade Tale

anyway --want to tell the story about some no-name
off-brand little 3 piecer -- that really has no documented
market//commercial value ??

and for THAT !!
i traded TWO famous grails

the first grail was a mint sanyo 9998 -
known worldwide/agreed as one the very best sounding
one piece boxes

then --i also chucked in one of the most beautiful boxes ever designed
and THE MOST RARE box i have ever owned -- the great Sansui CP-7

that was EASILY worth giving up my 2 great grails ?

so - heres the deal --up till about 4 days ago --
i thought there were only 2 Rotel #10s on the planet

but SOMEHOW ???
good old Lopez pulls off one of the great pieces of magic
in history --and yanks the 3rd one out of his butt !!

the only matter than can overshadow his incredible
packing and generosity --
is how good this little box can sound
FOUR INCH speakers that sound like EIGHTS !!

and the ANALOGUE tuner is picking up CLEAR stereo
from 60 miles away in miami -
NONE of my other boxes can do that--

i am soooooooooooo happy

Wow Ira, you are a select S.O.B. now. Congrats on the awesome trade.

If it's anywhere near as good as the other audio gear Rotel has produced then it should be high end all the way.

don --as far as i know --this was their best try at boomboxes --
so - its got that special quality feel about it --

i never had any of the famous rotel home audio components -
but now i wish i did

Ira is right I had to pull the 3rd one out of my bud , Anyway one of the things that makes me happy is to see the other party happy, And I just wish I was there to see Iras reaction, Well my reaction was just as enjoyable as he's was, The CP-7 is a gorgeous boombox, If I was a casstte I would be making love to this gorgeous box cause cthat is how boomboxes make love by inserting a cassette, The cassette is the male and the boombox is the female when she opens the cassette door for cassette to enter . I know I'm going crazy, But what can I say I'm very happy, But it gets better, I'm waiting for the Sanyo 9998 which is minty, But it gets even better, I just got the 9998 stickers yesterday, But wait it gets even better, Well I'll let the pics speak for this great surprise as soon as I get home . Thank u so much Ira, This was a great trade just like the other trades and sales I done with other members here.

Ira, I hope... nay... I INSIST that you bring that Rotel to the next Sunshine Mix. That is a beautiful little box and I've never seen one or even heard OF one before. However, please be sure and give it a REALLY good cleaning since it came out of Miguel's bum.

Rare boxes are the best!!!

nice rotel boombox.
rotel put out some really nice lower wattage amps for home use back in that era.
i am betting that if some of that technology made its way into that boombox it has extremely good sound.
rotel is a pretty nice maker. looks like both parties involved did well.

its tempting to go on ebay and try for one of their
components --an amp or a tuner --
unless one of us has any for sale ??
