After many times of watching the vid in the link below, and drooling over tons of pics, I have decided the trc 920 is the best looking box I have ever seen  the blingy chrome dazzles my eyes and encapsulates me like no other box ever has. I doubt I will ever see one in person let alone own one, but atleast I can admire it's sublime beauty and drooool non stop  what a stunner  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f7exKZ33pU

I still gotta get mine together and working better. My wife thinks it ugly though. Lol.

The first time I laid eyes on it back in 83 I was drop jaw'd

First thing that came to mind "How could any woman resist the power and obvious good looks of the 920?"

Ha ha, thanks bro. That one came from Bill, the chrome was in great shape. Although, I bet the chrome would pop even more if the rest of the box was custom-painted a darker color. :hmmm:

I love the TRC-920...it looks good, it sounds good and it is built like a TANK

Like a tank? Really? I think the plastic case is rather thin.....mine squeaks all the time when I lift it. And the tuner knob has kind of a loose, crappy movement, when compared to the awesome smooth movement of, say, an RC-838.

Definitely one of my favorite Lasonic boxes, I like the way the layout isn't too crowded, everything seems to fit best where it is. To me it looks like a the bigger beefier brother of the Sanyo M7850 / M7900.

I took 1 of my working parts 920's...and literally threw it really hard on my front yard...kicked it...dropped it...and it was still intact...AND it still worked...i then parted it out and sent parts to a few members here...so i would say in my books that it qualifies as being "built like a tank" :-D

Now that seems like a good idea  I'm surprised nobody has tried that yet :hmmm:

Here's a black TRC-920T - that's pretty close!
