Thanks for the video, Rick! It's nice to finally be able to put a voice with those dreads. :-)

Now I know how the lights above the cassette door work. I had never seen one in action before - cool. Toshiba was really WAY ahead of anybody else with this boombox. Hell, even today, this boombox is still a technological wonder.

Nice! I bought that one as well, new when I was a teenager. Somehow it survived all these years.

On a related note, there is also a decent looking model on ebay BIN now, a Toshiba RT-200s. A member was looking for one a while back so thought I'd mention it.

Hey Glue -- what is the tuner spread on the RS-S93? I'm wondering how it's diferent from the RT-S913 which has a 88-108 range.

Oh, Glueficer must have the Japan version? Very cool. Mine is the RT-932, bought out of London. It is a 220v ac only model.

These radios rock, not too loud, but a nice sound. The bass shakes my computer desk, unlike the RX-5600. I remember the day I bought it. I was walking in downtown london, and looked into the window of an electronics shop and there it was :w00t:  . It really stood out from the rest of the models. It had more chrome and silver, more flashy chrome buttons, and what the heck was that..a feather touch something? WIRELESS! At the time, that was an amazing feature. :-) It was also a rather expensive radio, 200+ in british pounds. Fortunately, the exchange rate was good back then, almost 1 to 1 with the US dollar. :-D

Ive been looking for a minty one on ebay recently, but none have come up yet! DIBS on all ebay listings

That's just a really cool video! Nice delivery Glue and It couldn't have been better scripted.Seriously you NEED to do some sort of video blogging or have a Youtube channel.Your the guy needed for this because your posts and video hold ones attention well. That sort of multimedia presence is something sorely missing from our collector world.
