Both decks operate as they should except as soon as I power the unit up I can hear Deck A motor spinning. Deck A has the pitch control if that matters. I’ve checks all the switches on the deck they all seem to be fine….. leaning towards a transistor on the PC board.
Followed the motor wires to the board, they led me to a bad transistor (C2120). The NPN got hot ….. thinking the motor which has a tendency to get stuck was the issue. Will post back with findings
Ok this was the problem. Blown C2120. A few of the other components on the board will also need changing for good measure.
The motor is FUBAR so I’ve replaced it with a simple non variable speed type just to get the deck operating. All is good for the moment.
