Hi guys,
I have a great news.
A few weeks ago I was at the flea market as usual to check if there is something new about boomboxes, radios etc.
That day was surprisingly very poorly regarding that stuff :'-( , but… just when I decided to leave the market :w00t: in one far corner I saw something big and shiny with big buttons and two detached speakers with screening cover………. Oh my , I thought, can not be real, a telefunken 1 M. :-O

It was very dirty, without 2 antennas and battery cover, also he got some scratches, but I firmly decided to take it.
Guess for what money I was got the telefunken?

15 euros.

When I brought it home, I tested it and I found that the left channel is dead (fuse), and that the commands for stop and record on the deck is fall down.
After some work for cleaning and repairing – 2 weeks -, now the 1 M is in fully working condition and sound is fantastic, that’s why I’m happy today.

That is one incredible job on an amazing looking box.

That is some incredible work..
Those cassette keys alone are a big pain to deal with.
please tell us more and if you have any progress pictures I would love to see them.
Again hats off to you that is a true transformation

Really exceptional job there, goes to show that true love is the main ingredient to any successful restoration.

Any tips on how you cleaned the brushed metal front?
I'm still trying to work out how to "re-brush" it after getting dings out of it.
