The VU lights were a different wattage of bulb than the tuning indicator.
I put the same bulbs in as original when
I replaced them,so I'm not sure if it is supposed to be that way or not.

Actually they look the same color, just the meters are brighter than tuner. Maybe like Scott said due to the different wattage But still looks and sounds awesome

i have the FH5 which is just the FH7 wannabee

and even that sounds to me -- better than the studio-

the 3 way studio speakers are fabulous -
but the way over-rated tele amp section is too wimpy for these speakers -
and its a pussy compared to the FH amp

It's actually dark brown like the Marantz cr line As for sound Rick I never heard those Sonys, never really liked Sony products though, but this unit is much better than Ira explains. It has True stereo separation with plenty of bass and awesome highs I will now have to say that out of all the boomboxes I have ever heard including Conion, Sharp, JVC, Panny, Sanyo, and my Lasonics .... Well this thing kicks A$$ and wipes the floor too I would do a video but you really can only tell great sound from listening 1st hand. Just like me hearing an M90 for the 1st time in person just wasn't what I thought all the hype about it to be These are just my personal opinions

So check this out as I kind of redone the lights on meters and tuner dial and I think it looks much more even now What are your guys opinions 1st pic is how it was and 2nd is how I changed it
