She arrived today I'm sooo glad i couldn't take delivery before my trip to the coast this past Sunday, I probably would have taken her along, instead of the M70. Which would have made riding the train a little difficult This thing is ginormous! Awesomely ginormous!

I would post better pics, but my camera got stolen on the trip :annoyed: I'll find a way to get the pics of the banner, waiting to hear back from Fatdog on what will work.

I was actually a little disappointed when I first fired it up, after listening to the M70 all morning. I moved the M70 off the coffee table 2 feet in front of me, put the C100 in the same spot and turned it on.... hm... THIS is how these sound? Really?..... Aaaand then I put it on the floor and cranked it up. MANOHMAN This is where she is happy! On the floor and loud! How foolish of me to think she would be happy being civilized... placed on a pedestal at low volume....

hey not meaning to be smart ass,

but when comparing boxes,

you should turn off the first one for a while...

and 30 minutes after, fire the other one up.

or else you almost always prefer the one that was playing.

its a common effect. like when using an EQ preset.

i bet the Conion is King.

This one has an *ORIGINAL* speaker grille label?!!

My goodness! This is probably the first ever, not just on here, but S2G also!!

Keep hold of that speaker grille sticker!! It's worth more than the box!!

Another thing.....FatDog may want a very detailed inspection of that label. He's our resident
label reproduction agent. Makes labels for GF-777s, and a lot of other boxes. It would be
FANTASTIC to have an absolute perfect reproduction copy of an original label.

Now all I need, is a Conion to stick it on.

Thanks! Its filthy and the pots are scratchy, but is 100% complete and functional. A few little scratches and a tictac sized spot of no paint on one grill. May have replacement antennas, did it come with red tip radioshack-ish ones originally? They are the correct diameter. Despite my explicit instructions, FedEx decided it would be a good idea to plaster the original box with tape :annoyed: but an hour with a heat gun got rid of that. I'll be performing a full cleaning and tuneup inside and out shortly, anything I should watch out for when doing it? I have restored quite a few vintage synthesizers, but this will be my first time inside a blaster that isn't a 1-way mini.

If I don't have a new camera by the time I'm done I'll try to get some decent shots with the camera phone. I'm about to fire off a camera phone pic of the label to Fatdog. Should I be, like, asking for money, or some sort of forum status or something for that?

Yeah I had them double box it. My experience with vintage synths has taught me that unless I'm buying from an enthusiast, I flat out refuse to let the seller pack it. I have an account with fedex so they can just take it there, drop it off and leave the packing to the "professionals". However, they sometimes get it wrong too. There was absolutely no reason to tape the inner box if they had listened to me, and had I not been able to remove it without damage I would have filed a claim.

I was just planning to take photos after the clean up, should I do before and afters?

Speaking of photos, I think I may have a temporary fix for my camera fiasco (I'm talking to you Fatdog ). I'm borrowing a cable (stupid motorola proprietary cables :annoyed: ) and should be able to get that label photo off my phone within the hour! Of course I probably just jinxed it again
