The Wisconsin Mini-Meet (Skippy1969 & Me!)

Hi everyone-I had the pleasure of finally meeting up with Scott(Skippy1969) in Wisconsin when I was traveling through from Minnesota last Friday.
First of all I have to say Scott is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!
He really likes his boomboxes and loves electronis like I do,so we had alot in common.
He brought 5 boomboxes,all I had was 2 and some walkmans.
I loved his GF9494 and his Aiwa's!! I also really like the Ira special-the TPR-955!!
I have some photos of some of his boxes and I'm posting 1 of my GF-8989II at a special place in Wayzata,Mn.-The Point,a special place where I used to party in High School.
This was from the Friday before-was having incredible weather that day!!

I also got a JVC 838JW as a parts box from skippy..
I'm psyched as I have a excellent condition one but has bad sliders so I'm going to transplant the slider board into mine to ressurect it again.

Just have to say Scott has some nice boomboxes! It was a pleasure meeting him and I'm sure we'll meet up again in the near future.
Here's the photos,sorry I don't have more but it was starting to drizlle out and was on the road getting home.
Sorry I didn't post these earlier but I slept for like a day & a half after I got home from a 900 mile drive!

I would like to say Jeff is an ultra cool guy and super mega nice as well.
I can't believe how much stuff "electronics" Jeff had packed in his Tbird,WOW!!!!!
He showed me some of his thift store finds....
We had an awesome visit, even with the crappy weather...... :annoyed:
I brought a few boxes for Jeff to check out.

I also checked out Jeff's nice GF8989 series 2.
LOL,no Ira my car,it's not a rental.
And no it's not always that clean....
Its my wife car. :grim:
I brought that car instead of my Malibu as it has the hatch back and it has a very cool factory built in120 volt ac power converter so I could power up my boxes without switching the batteries.

It was kind of a last minute thing Joe.
Jeff was on his way back home down I 90 94 so we met up to visit for only about an hour as Jeff needed to get home.
I thought about calling you and Spud "Joel" but I didn't think it would be a worth while trip just for an hour visit.
Maybe when jeff comes through here again,we could meet up...

LOL you are welcome here anytime!!!!!!! 185 lb Polk SDA's do the trick!! LOL. Actually next weekend i am going to work on hooking the boomboxes hooked back up lol they have been sitting idol way too long and getting pissed at me LOL. I will let the McIntosh amp and Sunfire amp have a rest while I exercise the boxes!
