Actually yeah, I was snapping a lot of pics today! Decided the other day to use the original speakers, but didn't want em' dull looking faded old black.. So I came up with a color combo for this box! The unit will be Kandy Majestic Blue with Pink Pearl accents..

Had to use flash to try and show true color, could describe it as Hot Pink!

Sprayed the LED surrounds today as well..

Got some plans for the tuner display, we'll see if it turns out nice...

Well, I did some designs under the blue kandy.. but I didn't like how it turned out.. Not enough kandy blue went on, so I had to redo it!

After parting out my Blockbuster, I decided to use the speakers for my SCR-8! Colored them black and using some huge chrome dust caps for that extra bling..

Decided I'm going to give it to my girl for Christmas, so I sanded it down to repaint it..
House of Kolor Pink Pearl with Fushia flake! Designs will be added too...

Painted the LED surrounds and the handle Gloss Black..

Got my pink Glowire today, so I had to do a quick test to see how they looked!

Haha I wasn't satisfied with the paint job before I met her.. Even though she liked it and so did my other friends who seen it, I just wanted to redo it..
She thinks its super-awesome that I collect Ghettoblasters, and since she's my "main-squeeze" I want to hook her up with one..
This SCR-8 seemed the easiest choice since I don't have much invested into it.. Plus, she can play her phone through the AUX in!

I should mention that she loves being gaudy and I love her gaudiness.. That is why this boombox is turning out the way it is!

Thanks guys! I got 5 ft of Glowire, so I should be able to circle the speakers and still have some to highlight the tuner window with some pink glow also.. Tried em in the pitch black shop last night..

Time is ticking away, gotta get this done before Christmas! Been working on it tonight, doing some graphics on the front of the box and flaking the back of the box..
Sprayed the back of the unit with 5 coats of flake and 4 coats of clear last night, still have to spray the vents and battery cover gloss black..

Sanded the front panel smooth and started spraying some graphics.. Tried a gradient-style fading from black to light on the letters..

I realized I didn't take many pictures of the process, I was too busy cutting and spraying..My girl actually has that same pokemon character tattooed on her foot!

I still have to do the black outline on the characters, bout to get that done now..
