Yes, you have to remember back then fake wood paneling was cool.... so this place must have been the coolest!!!!

Yeah, The Federated's kind of sucked. We had one by us, but everything was boxed up. Not like the store above where you could touch the radios.

Even the Radio Shack's back in the day had all the Blasters in the glass case. I remember having to ask the guy behind the counter to take the SCR-8 out so I could see it 20 times....He hated to see me coming....especially when I stopped by later on with my new TRC-920.

Must say I'm just wowed by such a photo. As a person who was born after these things were already getting replaced by puny rounded-edge machines, I can't help but gawk at the pristine wall of now-vintage electronics. Boomboxes and hi-fi galore. Must have been an impressive sight, all that Japanese iron, even when it was new.
