So know one else knows the car in this movie :hmmm: :-D I gotta tell you guys I am just fascinated by this movie my kids made. I am just such a proud Dad that keeps watching over and over again  :breakdance:

looks like a 1988 formula firebird to me

5.7 litre or a 305 tpi motor just like my old iroc had :hmmm: .
Great job Floyd, I'd figured you knew :-D
If I'm not mistaken most Formula's came with a 5.7

Actually it's the 5.0L with TBI at around 200 horses. It's pretty quick and Jeannie gets a little ticked off when I gun it
:eek:fftopic: :eek:fftopic:

I know we are WAY off subject here BUT what was the Formula package? I had a friend in high school that had a 73 Formula 455, super rare car, that was the fastest factory machine I have ever been in! But what is the "Formula" package? What is different from a Trans Am?
Bigger engine standard than regular firebird plus performance package. Mine has the W26 suspension. Plus better options but not as many as TA. Formula in 88 had hood scoop and spoiler :-D 1973 with 455 is just RAD

The Formula package was a motor and suspension upgrade to there line up. Trans Am had there own version as well with the Grand National 3.8 Turbo. It didn't take off due to the weight of a Trans Am being so high. Those are collectors items now. The Trans Am Formula was a plain Firebird with either a 5.0 305 and an automatic tranny or the 5.7 with an auto or optional 5 speed (rare with the stick) tranny. The 305 was a womans car in my opinion. The 5.7 with the 5 speed was a mans car!!

Actually the 5.0 liter was the largest engine you could get from 1982-1985 until offering the 5.7L in 1986. But the 5.7L was rare and only adding 20 Hp for a couple thousand more was not worth it. They also used the L4 and V6 motors in the Firebird which was for better fuel economy which those engines were more for a woman :hmmm:

Cute video , your kids are adorable.
They did a great job and probably had a lot of fun doing it.
I had the same exact formula with grey cloth interior.
The suspension package was the WS6.
Kool looking car it was , Fast it wasn't.
I sold mine when I bought my 77 T/A.
